NC Ag Teaching Jobs

Agricultural education is a wonderfully fulfilling and challenging career. Agriculture teachers make a profound difference in the lives of their students and community. They influence youth to develop into leaders and engage with agriculture, food, and natural resources.

Teaching agriculture in North Carolina requires a North Carolina teaching license with an agriculture endorsement. Many people graduate from one of our higher education institutions with a degree AND a teaching license. Other teachers transition from the agriculture industry to the classroom through a lateral entry program. For additional information on lateral entry programs at North Carolina State University, please see https://cals.ncsu.edu/agricultural-and-human-sciences/leap/.
